Does being under pressure or stressed make us do things that are out of character?

I joined Facebook ages ago and have gradually found old friends, new friends and friends of friends (that's a lot of friends in one sentence).

Anyway, I discovered someone who had a few mutual friends in common with me, so decided to add him. We've been chatting online for a few weeks and turns out we've met before, I've interviewed him as part of my work, and he's seen me about at various functions. Anyway, he's a really nice lad, a good laugh and someone to chat with online when I'm on my own and bored (which happens more often now as husband is due to deploy soon)
Well the other night our chat turned a bit naughty, nothing major, just a bit flirtatious I guess. Anyway I got his mobile number and we txt now and again to, just general chit chat and bit of flirting. Something like this is quite out of character for me,well moreso now I'm in my 30's. I'm married and have a daughter, you know a settled-ish life. I'm not interested in taking things any further with this guy, I am actually really happy with my husband, but the thrill and the interest from someone else are just really exciting. I'm wondering if it's just the stress of current life events that's leaving me looking for some kind of release r distraction? There's every chance I'll see this guy out and about socially and hopefully we both won't feel awkward, it is just a bit of fun. The other thing is, he actually know's of my husband and they're both in the same Regt.

Could I be weaving a tangled web? Who knows.. life is meant to be a challenge right.
